ArtsyGala

ArtsyGala is a collection of original art (one-of-a-kind pieces) and artsy goods to bring joy to everyday life. Through her love of upcycling, imaginative expression, and dedication to following her curiosity, artist Gala Reneaum creates artwork that brings color to the quotidian and inspires a creative life.

In the ArtsyGala collection you’ll find artwork to decorate your home, celebrate special occasions, share with a pen pal, and liven up your space. Gala believes art should be accessible and part of our daily routines.

Created from upcycled ephemera that spans deeply personal to playful and spontaneous, ArtsyGala art + objects are catalysts and reminders to be in the moment and feel our feelings.

About the Artist

Gala Reneaum Tello was born in Mexico City and resides in Northwest Arkansas where she founded ArtsyGala. She is a visual artist presently focusing on collage, implementing her love of upcycling treasured, ordinary materials and the ephemera of daily life into vibrant, nostalgic, original works that freeze a moment in time and create visual poetry around it.

Gala studied at the University of Arkansas where she earned a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science in business administration. She presently serves as the art gallery manager at MIXD Gallery in Rogers, AR. Gala’s interest in the intersection between business and art is part of what inspired her to found ArtsyGala, creating a business out of something she enjoys and loves to share.

Gala is drawn to create art to process feelings, cherish memories, reflect on the past, and connect to loved ones. Through her art she is able to share her concept of home and explore her cultural roots. Throughout her work, Gala’s Mexican background is seen in reflections and references to Mexican life and history – Día de Muertos, Lotería, gastronomy, prehispanic cultures – and to the personal, such as her bond with her grandparents.

Gala hopes that those who come in contact with her work will experience curiosity and be inspired to live a creative life – perhaps even playing and experimenting with making art from materials they already own.
